Dr Sujit Singh Gill is the director and consultant surgeon at The Vascular and General Surgery Centre.

Dr Gill is well known for his expertise in the South East Asia region. He specialises in using the most minimally invasive techniques available for hernia repair, gall bladder disease, haemorrhoids (piles) and endoscopy procedures. Additionally, he has a special interest in abdominal pain and will painstakingly problem solve with the patient to find and treat the cause of their symptoms. Dr Gill is internationally recognised for his ability to perform complex procedures with excellent outcomes in terms of safety, resolution of medical concern and aesthetics. He also has excellent communication & listening skills which leads to a higher level of overall satisfaction amongst his patients.

Dr Gill received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He undertook postgraduate training at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and obtained his Masters in General Surgery also from NUS. Subsequently, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh was acquired. Dr Gill further honed his skills at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia. Upon completion of this he returned to Singapore General Hospital and completed his research project in Aortic Aneurysms. Dr Gill currently divides his time between Singapore General Hospital and The Vascular & General Surgery Centre. Having a passion to educate and train he has served extensively as a clinical mentor to medical students as well as regularly conducting forums to general practitioners and the public in Singapore, Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia & Myanmar. Dr Gill has also travelled to provide medical aid in the region in times of crisis. He is fluent in Bahasa Melayu.

Dr Gill utilises the latest technologies and is innovative in his approach. He was one of the first surgeons in the region to introduce endovenous techniques for varicose veins including EVLT (endovenous laser therapy),EVRT (endovenous radiofrequency therapy) and Clarivein. Dr Gill was also a pioneer utiliser of Transanal Haemorrhoidal Dearterialization (THD) which is a technique for the treatment of piles minimising pain and lifestyle interruptions. Patients regularly travel from Russia, South East Asia and the Middle East in search of Dr Gill. His superior interpersonal skills, surgical dexterity and ability to tailor care to individual patient needs have made him one of the most sought after surgeons in the South East Asian region.
